Why Many Adsense Sites don't Earn Money

There seem to be 3 main reasons why most adsense sites do not make a lot of money:

(1) Not enough visitors: This is the biggest reason that most sites using Adsense do not make that money, and why most sites don't make money from any sources.. You need a lot of visitors if you expect to make a significant amount of money from Adsense. You need a lot of people coming to see the ads, and a lot of people clicking the ads (not fraudulently). This is the only way to earn a lot of money through Adsense.

(2) Bad ad placement: If you stick your ad low on the side of the page where nobody can see it, how do you expect them to click it? A little ad optimization goes a long way. Ideally, you want your ads to be close to the top or within the text, while also blending in with the website and not being obtrusive. If the ads are annoying and too prominent, people will get annoyed and just won't visit your site. If the ads are in places that are too obscure, people won't even see them. It's a tough thing to manage.

(3) Tech-savvy visitors: If you have visitors that are pretty tech-savvy, they will recognize the ads and just be able to ignore them. If they're ignoring them, they're not going to click them, and you're not going to make any money. Most people have no use for the ads (or perhaps turn them off altogether), making them useless for you as a money-making tool.

These seem to be the biggest reasons that most people do not make much money off of Adsense. If you don't have enough visitors and the ads are placed poorly, you will not make a lot of money from Adsense, and that's really all there is to it. If you are able to make good money from Adsense, good work! It's tough work, but it can be done.
